Sadly, it’s time to take down the Christmas decorations. Even worse, the burden of eating healthy, and less, is “on my plate”, so to speak–or is it off? Ha!
Add that to writing pitches for an upcoming conference (NRB), releases, blogs, social media posts, query letters, a newsletter, one-sheets, media kits, preparations for author events, launch parties, lesson plans to teach a children’s creative writing class, lessons for my online Bible study (After God’s Own Heart), letters of introduction for a new author (me), and creating promotional materials for two book series, and the miscellaneous stuff for an anthology –it’s no wonder I’m crazy and tired!
But you know what’s funny? When God places a calling in my heart, there’s nothing else like it. I don’t mind that I’m crazy and tired. I wake up most mornings before 2 am and work in my office until 5 PM, sometimes giving myself a break and stopping at 3 pm. The hours zipppp by, and I realize I’m hungry and I need to visit the facilities. It’s a true blessing that fills my heart with joy.
Creating a world for Dirt Dog and His Friends and co-authoring Pets to the Rescue: A Cousin Crew Series with a very dear friend are among the top ten experiences of my life. My only hope is that I do a good job and that any success gives glory to God. I pray for your support.
I’m attaching a link that offers a brief glimpse into my journey to becoming an author (my dream since I was six) and how God fulfilled it.
