The Author – Lisa M. Pritchard
Interview with Rusty Wise from WNN
Two years ago, the door to the writing world opened for Lisa—and she joyfully stepped through. Grateful for the gift of storytelling, Lisa seeks God’s guidance as she writes stories that nurture faith, character, and a love of learning.
Education, Entities, and Experience
Lisa earned a B.S. in business (High Point University) and a master’s degree in education (NCSU). Lisa is a member of Word Weavers, AWSA, ACFW, and is Speak Up speaker-certified. She is the vice president of her local women’s club and is an Arise Daily contributor.
Lisa traveled on multiple trips to Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova. She participated in “Coats to the City” in NYC and other mission trips, and organized and conducted a “Back Yard Bible Club”.
As a business and marketing teacher, Lisa led the Bible club for several years and was voted Teacher of the Year in 2017. She was a member of the county and state literacy teams and led workshops at both levels.
Pastimes and Present Focus
Lisa’s favorite pastimes are boating with her husband, baking and cooking for friends and family, and spending quiet sunrises with Jesus. She is burdened by plummeting literacy rates and the decline of family values and Biblical principles in our culture.
Past, Present, and Future Works
Over the last two years, Lisa’s work has been published in online magazines, devotions, blogs, websites, and compilations. She wrote a Psalm Bible Study titled After God’s Own Heart, which was featured on her website last year. www.praying-prodigals.com
Her first children’s picture book, Dirt Dog Invites Prissy Poodle to the Prom, released on March 17, 2026. It is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, and Walmart. Book two of the Dirt Dog and Friends series for ages 4-8, Tiny Tot Tiger Says Happy 250th Birthday, America! will be available for pre-orders on May 12. This title releases June 02, 2026. Book three, Cool Cat Moo Moves to a New School, is scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027. More titles will follow.
Lisa is an author of a beach anthology (Carolina Tides, Spring 2026). She is co-authoring Pets to the Rescue, A Cousin Crew Series, a six-book chapter book series for 7-10-year-olds. The title for the first book, which released February 03, 2026, is Apple Butter Adventure. Book two, America’s Birthday Hero releases in April. Books three and four are in preliminary stages.
